News Release (NR 07-06) - February 07, 2007

Third Blast at Mudlake

Snowfield Development Corp. ("Snowfield" and the "Company") announces the following:

Snowfield Development Corp. is pleased to announce that the contractor hired to drill and blast the access ramp through the granite cap down to the Mud Lake kimberlite has successfully completed the third of three planned blasts. The blast took place at 10:30 am MST Tuesday February 06, 2007. An Original Productions camera crew was onsite to record the explosion for inclusion in the documentary feature being produced for the History Channel (NR 07-03). Initial inspection of the blast site indicates that the blast was most successful and will facilitate the removal of all granite above the kimberlite sill structure being sampled.

Upon removal of the blasted rock, the Company expects to be able to access the diamondiferous kimberlite sill. Up to 500 tonnes of this kimberlite will be excavated under Snowfield's permit as a bulk sample to test the kimberlite for diamond content. Once excavated, the kimberlite will be crushed and bagged for onward shipment to the DeBeers Canada Exploration Ltd. Dense Media Separation plant located in Grande Prairie, AB. As has previously been noted, the use of this plant is being supplied by DeBeers to Snowfield at no cost and with no obligation, a savings to Snowfield of approximately $1 million. This bulk sampling process will be carried out under security protocols and under the supervision of a "Qualified Person" as described in NP 41-101.

The drilling and blasting of this access ramp was delayed for several weeks as the contractor hired to complete the job, one of the largest rock contractors in Canada, encountered mechanical difficulties that took longer than anticipated to correct.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD

"Robert T. Paterson"

President
