Microdiamond Results

Snowfield Development Corp. (SNO TSX-V) ("Snowfield") ") is pleased to announce that it has received the microdiamond results from a composite kimberlite sample taken from its Ticho Project Mudlake Kimberlite located near Drybones Bay, Great Slave Lake, N.W.T. Approximately 110 kg of remnant kimberlite core samples taken from some 14 holes drilled into the Mudlake body were submitted to the Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. Thunder Bay Mineral Processing Laboratory at Thunder Bay, Ontario for caustic fusion processing and micro-diamond recovery. This process resulted in the recovery of one macro-diamond and four micro-diamonds. The kimberlite core samples were remnants remaining after the majority of the kimberlite material had been previously processed for kimberlitic indicator minerals. The dimensional measurements of the largest diamond is listed below.

Largest Diamond (mm)     Sample Sill-1
X         Y         Z
1 0.92     0.82     0.54

An additional 4 micro-diamonds were recovered from Samples Sill-1 and Sill-2. All results are shown below.

Sieve Sizes Sample Sill - 1 Sample Sill - 2
(mm) Sample Weight 58.85 Kg Sample Weight 51.78 Kg
+0.600 1 0
+0.300 0 1
+0.150 1 0
+0.106 1 1
Totals 3 2

These results demonstrate the presence of diamonds in the Mudlake kimberlite, however, due to the nature of the sampling, it is not possible to determine which specific drill holes produced the diamonds. The presence of one macro-diamond is encouraging and once again demonstrates the need for a much larger sample. These results further strengthen the Company's view that only a bulk sample from the Mudlake kimberlite will establish whether or not the body is economic. With this in mind the Company is proceeding with its plans to extract a 500 tonne bulk sample from the Mudlake kimberlite during the current exploration season.

Drilling on other targets within the project area is currently underway and results will announced as they become available.
